Pickled Jalapeno Peppers Made for Water Bath Canning
I started growing jalapenos in our summer garden. I realized I was going to the store and buying canned jalapenos for different recipes. Then I realized I am able to can said home grown jalapenos just like the commercial version.
I love this canning recipe I found on So Easy to Preserve home preservation book. It is a small batch water bath canning recipe. It doesn’t take huge loads of peppers to make it either. I typically can 2 half pints at a time which is perfect for the small batches of peppers I harvest on a weekly basis.
This recipe is also very simple to do and does not take too many steps like making jam or relishes or even pickles. All you have to do is chop up your clean peppers, pack them into hot clean jars, pour boiling vinegar liquid in jar and process. Boom! Presto! Done! It takes very little time to can it.
