Authentic Polish Pierogi Dough Recipe
One of my earliest and fewest memories of my Great Grandma in Hegewisch neighborhood in Chicago is of her making batches and batches of authentic pierogis in her kitchen. I can remember walking into her back door that lead into the kitchen and seeing rows and rows of these potato filled dough pouches line her counter tops. She was a woman that could cook and bake.
I have been very interested in learning and recreating recipes from my German and Polish heritage. Making the Polish dumpling or Pierogi was definitely on that list. With a little bit of research I also found out that the pierogi dough has the same ingredients as a dumpling and potstickers. I was so excited to see that because this dough can be increased for so many other filling recipes.
